In 21 sets played, Carly posted two service aces and four digs on the year.<br /><br /><strong>2007 (Sophomore):</strong><br />Carly appeared in four matches for the Tigers as a sophomore, hitting the floor in five games. Despite limited playing time, Carly has been an integral part of improving the Tigers' defense over the past two seasons.<br /><br /><strong>2006 (Freshman):</strong><br />In her first season at Pacific, Carly served as a valuable role player for Pacific. She appeared in 23 of the Tigers' 29 matches, playing both as a backup setter and a defensive specialist. She finished the season with an average of 1.08 assists and 1.90 digs per game. Hiromoto notched her first intercollegiate double-double with 23 assists and 17 digs in Pacific's 3-1 loss to Cal State Fullerton on Sept. 21. Carly earned her first kill and set a career-high with 20 digs in Pacific's 3-1 loss to Virginia on Sept. 8. Hiromoto nabbed 14 digs in the Tigers' 3-1 win over Montana on Sept. 2. Carly appeared in each of the Tigers' first two matches last season as a defensive specialist. She collected her first ace as a Tiger in Pacific' s 3-0 loss to No. 6 Santa Clara on Aug. 25. The following night, Carly picked up four digs in Pacific's 3-0 loss to Fresno State on Aug. 26.<br /><br /><strong>High School/Club:</strong><br />Hiromoto was a 2006 graduate of Punahou High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. Carly helped lead the Buff n' Blue to the Hawaii State Championship during her junior season. The following season as a senior, Hiromoto and the Buff n' Blue just missed claiming back-to-back championships as Punahou placed third in the state tournament. Off the court, Hiromoto was a member of the National Honor Society and earned recognition for excellence in chemistry.<br /><br /><strong>Personal:</strong><br />Carly Hiromoto is the daughter of Lloyd and Lyanne Hiromoto. She has one younger sister, Diana. In her fourth year at Pacific, Carly is an environmental science major.<br /><br /><strong>Johnson On Hiromoto:</strong><br />"Carly has improved every season she has been here.
